The first two games in the Bayonetta series were huge for PlatinumGames and pulling off that success a third time isn’t going to be an easy job.

Like many of the other projects currently in development at Nintendo, it makes sense that they are holding off on showing anything new until they’ve managed to get their feet under them a little bit more. Many were expecting to hear more about the game-which is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch-but were disappointed when Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct came and went without any notice.
